Scott Cleveland
Photo by Sean CapuanoScott grew up listening to Progressive Rock, Jazz and Fusion, and has been interested in other music such as Electronic, Surf, and obscure 60s garage bands. He has played piano since College, and played with The Mighty Little Big Band and at local Jam Sessions.
In addition to playing with Equinox, Scott is studying Solo Jazz piano with Peter Simpkins.
Scott helped Ken start the band, brought in Malcolm and Steve Strawitz, and has been a wonderful player and friend. You might catch us pulling him onto stage with us sometime soon.
Joe Capizzi
Photo by Sean CapuanoWith a “hand me down” trumpet from his father, and a very early self awareness of having no athletic ability what so ever, Joe’s musical journey began in his early teens. He began his formal music training under the strict guidance of none other than…wait for it…his grade school Nun.
Whether it was divine intervention, or more solemnly, a mouth full of braces, he switched his focus to the guitar, and hasn’t looked back.
Joe is a great friend who is focusing his extra time on his family and music nearer to his home in the Jersey area. Plus, Ken found out he now has a hole in the water to throw his money into (a boat).
His musical influences are: David Gilmour, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Bruno, Larry Carlton, and Lee Ritenour. When not playing music, Joe spends his time with his wife, son, and family.
